Project Superstar - Semis - Round 1

ok, i better blog before my memory fails to recall what happened today.

just came home from the recording of project superstar semis for the guys. mediacorp is sucha cool place... wanna work there in future if given the chance. anyway, had to be there by 6pm. haha.. collected the tickets from jason's mother. i think all the xing1 ma1-s are very cool. hehee!
after entering the waiting area, we were split into our various groups depending on who we supported. jason was M1 so we lined up there. could see that junyang and derrick's line were the longest. Junyang's fan base is superb. I suppose they have decided to make yellow the "default" colour. Almost all wore yellow. Oh ya! then at this point in time, jason came out. We smiled at him. Too bad, we werent quick enuf to snap a picture with him.

Before recording started, we were made to pre-record fanatic-shouting-and-screaming scenes in support of our idols. so they did it section by section. although i was sitting in jason's sector and shouted real loud for him, i din forget (or rather, couldnt resist) not screaming when derrick's name was announced. haha... jieying and i were prepared to get hammered by jason's fans. but when u're there, it doesnt really matter who u are vying for cos almost everyone is shouting at any point in time. Doesnt make a difference anyway.
Instead of singing a duet then solo, the semis will see each contestant singing two songs - a ballad and a upbeat song+dance.

Recording officially started at 8 plus.
M1: Jason - Chi Xin Jue Dui + Come On
he really improved alot. Slimmed down alot too. Can see that he's trying his best.

M2: Weicong - great job as usual. nice vocals. oh ya, he's got a nice hairdo!
M3: Junyang - needless to say, he put off both songs well. He cant seem to stay away from songs related to JJ

M4: WEIJIAN!! (beyond description! just watch the superstar croon)
M5: Weilian - totally moved by his vocals. Nearly cried.

All in all, these 5 deserve to be in the semi-s. Despite initial discussions bout one of them not deserving a place, i feel that they have done enough today to prove that they are grateful of the chance bestowed upon them.

Gonna watch it tomorrow again on TV. U cant miss it!
