HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADELINE!!!

many of us deeblockers were back in hall today for swoc and rag and we celebrated adeline's birthday. The councilors (me, adeline, shaojie and dean) + kaiwen, rod and qingjun were in hall today welcoming the international students and showing them around hall. Hey, initially i thought it'd be kinda boring. But it WASN'T AT ALL!! I had great fun interacting with them.. and of cos, we went crazy as usual amongst ourselves =P Went to ginza for lunch... ended up buying packed lunch and sitting at the void deck.. lol.. quite fun.. played games with the swocs... haha... and sj and weising were made to do the 'WHO DARES TO MESS WITH SHEARES HALL THUS BECOMES A CHAR SIEW' cheer. heehee... u should have seen weising.. she was hilarious and such a sport! =P
i had a 3 hour talk with joseph last night/morning from 1am-4am after catching harry potter with 12 fellow deeblockers (caroline, kenneth, dean, alvin, kayping, ivan, chio, jeannie, kaiwen, adrian, shaojie, xuanjie)
xchanged alot of thoughts about almost everything...
and i was glad when he said that i've matured over the year. =)
i agree with him.
we xchanged views about people.
about why we chose not to join vcf in hall bcos of all the disappointments we had.
we talked about our common friends and discussed about their individual plus and minus points.
we shared about our families and realised that our family structures were rather similar.
talking to him is like talking to a grown up. Lol.
thruout the course of the year, i have seen so many different facades of people that i've grown to believe in my own judgement. You know, sometimes it aint good to be influenced by others...
I've learnt how to deal with people in a more subtle way... being less bothered by the little things that would once have agitated me.
Hall allows me to see a person inside-out.
This has made me learn how to cherish the friends who have a greater standing in my life and not taking them for granted.
Thanks friends. You know who you are. =)
