About my life in hall once again =)

The annual Sheares National Day Celebration took place two days ago...
It's kinda like one of the MAIN EVENTS OF THE YEAR where all Shearites would participate in. The funny thing is that all of us would dress up to the nines just to walk a few steps to the dining hall (we call it comm hall) for a national day 'formal' dinner. Haha... The comm hall is usually the place where you will find Shearites at their most UNGLAM state: Fbts, Oversized T-shirts from respective events like camps, marathons etc... No wonder my date complained about the idea being rather lame.
Oh, talking about my date this year... He likes to complain. He actually made noise about how a 3 hour dinner cum performance would deprive him of his studies. haha.. He's quite a cock-ster i would say, but a nice guy too. =) My date last year, yiyang, surprised me with a vase of sunflowers in my room while i was away at lecture. Shall post the picture of the pretty flowers the next time i upload my pictures. =P Thanks ex-date!

Oops... for those of u wondering what this whole 'date' thing is about...
Every freshie has to ask a fellow block senior 'out on a date' during this event. We also xchange presents too! Well, the standards this year were lifted when gilyn's date, lionel, 'spoilt-market' and pasted this big sign outside her door asking her if she would be his date. Heehee..

Anyway, i felt that this year's SNDC was definitely a much better one than last year's, both in terms of the theme and the overall programme flow. Heard there were hiccups here and there but they were not obvious. The quality of the performance deserves our applause too, especially the beatboxer from TJ, more commonly known as Charles. He made the Shearites 'oooo' and 'aaaa' when he skillfully displayed an array of beatboxing tactics at MPSH that night. *claps*
