doing it my way.

Had the first VC event yesterday where we brought in the elderly from APEX.
These group of elderly live in one-room flats and are provided with food rations once a week, i think.
Yup, we brought them to sheares where we planned activities for them. Cooking, Karaoke, Bingo, Handicraft, Lunch and Movie screening....
Seeing their smiles on their faces made my day despite the persistent cough and flu that I had.
The busy day made me feel weaker though. But i thought it was worthwhile =)

Mum and granny were really nice as they offered to cook fried rice for the whole group.
And mum delivered the pots of rice down to hall. *touched*

The whole event ended around 4 and there was of cos debrief and cleaning up.
Yes, i had to lug the pots home and mum asked me to take a cab.
Big shoutout to Tianhao who kindly assisted me in carrying the pots all the way to the mainroad.
Thanks man! Met rod along the way and he took over. Haha.

THE BEST PART: i was waiting for a cab with rod when joseph called. He asked if I was still in hall and whether or not i needed him to send me home. WOOTS!! The call came at the PERFECT TIME!!! Thanks Joseph!!! wheet! i was like 'thank God'. Thanks guys! =P

The best remedy for nursing a flu and a cough is to stay home.
I guess the reason why I'm still unable to recover is bcos of hall.
Hall doesn't allow you to get sufficient rest.
When you're home, you get the correct medicine.
Woke up this morning with a warm cup of honey lemon on the table.
MAN!!!!! I LOVE HOME!!!

Many things ran through my mind and I even thought of not stayin in hall for the week.
Haha.. think it's hard la.
Need time away from hall. Need time for myself and my family.

There comes a point in time when you realise that your family is most important.
The support, the love, the EVERYTHING. =)
