Hello!! I'm back from Bangkok!!It has been an unforgettable 4 days spent with my lovely friends on the sunny island of Bangkok where we were always greeted with friendly smiles =) I love Bangkok and will definitely be going back there again. Am kinda like suffering from Bangkok-withdrawal syndromes now. Haha. All of us agreed that coming back to Singapore was like 'coming back to reality'. Haha... seems like this trip to Bangkok was indeed a great 'escape' from the hustle and bustle of life in Singapore where almost everything was OTOT (own time own target). There was hardly any rush or stress. What a great way to start our December Holidays! heh heh!

Yup, we boarded the plane on the 8th Dec (Sat) for the 230pm flight. The plane ride onboard the SIA flight was a safe one. Always trust SIA. Haha. Keith and Kenneth insisted that they wanted to take the window seats. Little boys... Hai.. Gave way to them lor. =P It was a short-haul flight and we touched down on the sunny island even before I could finish watching Ratatouille. Lol. Too fast la!
We checked in at the
Somerset Service Apartment at Suan Plu. Quite a cosy place with a living room and two bedrooms. However, the place was a lil far from the BTS. Therefore, we took a cab most of the time. Anyway, it's so cheap taking a cab there that even if the cab driver were to fail to navigate our destination correctly, we only have to pay less than 100 Baht for every trip. That makes it em, less than S$5? muahaha!
Went to Mah Boon Krong for dinner where we ate JAP FOOD =X
Haha.. couldnt exacly locate any Thai food at that place. Wonder why. I guess we didnt search enough. The guys complained that the place was more of a shopping haven for girls and we headed for Royal City Avenue (RCA) - an area with all the clubs and pubs, something like that of Clarke Quay in Singapore. We went to this club called ROUTE 66. Hey, there's like NO COVER CHARGE to club in Bangkok! HOW COOL IS THAT?!?! Oh, by the way, they only allow those above the age of 20 to enter their clubs. I was nearly made to stay out when the bouncer pointed at the date 23.12.1987 on my IC... I gave him the most pathetic face ever and he allowed me in! Haha. PEOPLE, ROUTE 66 IS A MUST-GO!!!

The club had different rooms split into North, South, East and West respectively, all offering different genres of music. Of course, we decided to head for the West room that offered Hip-Hop and R&B music =) The price of opening a bottle there is definitely much more cheaper than in Singapore. You should have seen the delight on the guys' faces when they were looking at the menu. Happy like siao! We were high to the max and danced around our table. Heehee...

Left the club at around 12 midnight. It was a lil early though but we didnt have any choice as Joyce and Keith got a lil too high and we decided that it was safer to head back to our apt as we were in a foreign land. Haha.. Don't play play leh....
Woke up the next morning for continental breakfast served at the cafe in the apt. Woots! Love continental breakfast. Were the most CUI bunch of people in the cafe as we wore our t-shirts and shorts and jackets. Haha. Nvm. Hall people are like that. lol.
IT WAS CHATUCHAK DAY!!!!!!! YAY!!!!! We were all waiting for this day!!! Took the BTS to Mo Chit, where the Chatuchak Weekend Market was located. Man... the number of shops there were crazy la. I couldn't orientate myself half of the time. Lol.
We bought like 1 million items there. Haha... It was really a shopping spree there! The guys and the girls decided to shop separately as we came to a conclusion that we didn't wanna wait for each other. Lol. Met two hours later for lunch.

Went to
Siam Paragon for dinner. We wanted to pamper our taste buds with the mouth-watering Thai food and decided to head for this Thai restaurant at Siam Paragon. Wa... the food was shiok. We ordered like two of each dish and one coconut each. MUAHAHAHA. The bill added up to around 3600 Baht (S$156). Considering the amount of food we had, it was cheap.

We headed for PLATINUM MALL the next day. Heard that it's another shopping paradise and indeed, it was =) As usual, the girls would shop separately from the guys and we would meet 3 hours later. Okay, the guys complained again that it was a HAVEN FOR GIRLS, not them. Oh wells.. but they still bought ALOT!!! So no complains ya guys? =)

Central World was our next stop where the girls made some cheap purchases of underwear. Haha. Guys complained again. But ya, there wasnt really anything cheap in Central World la.. Decided to go to the SIAM area once again. There are rows of shops opposite Siam Paragon that offers a rather good shopping experience.
IT WAS CLUBBING TIME!!!!! - again. HOORAY!!!! It was the final night of our trip and we wanted to make it a blast! The gang decided to head for ROUTE 66 once again!

Ya.. as u can see... we spent ALOT OF TIME CAM WHORING!!! Miss that evening!!! Totally!!

Here are some random photos that we took in our apt and when Joyce, Keith, Ken and I headed to a nearby mart on the second night as they were hungy. Quite an interesting experience as the streets were really quiet... Quite scary though as I was worried that a mouse or cat would pop out from somewhere. Haha.

A final shot in the living room of our apartment before leaving for the airport =) Sweet!

We reached the airport way before time and had lunch there. The rest didn't really have much cash left as they kinda spent everything on the two days of shopping! wahaha!! The flight back was quite a smooth one too. Caught Star Dust. Aww.. super nice show. I wanna watch it again!

Am back in Singapore. Am already missing the trip.
Joyce, Liz, Kenneth, Joseph and Keith:
I really had an awesome time with you guys in Bangkok. It was a helluva experience that i will always remember. Am looking forward to our next trip! Where to? I'm sure it'll be decided soon! MUAHAHAHAHA!!! For now, rest well and I can't wait for our XMAS PARTY NEXT WEEK!!! WOOTS!!!
